The article and the video clip do however have some important truths about handwriting in the United States. Although I said that I don't think cursive needs to be taught, I definitely believe that students still need to learn print and they need to learn how to print legibly. The video and article stress the importance of teaching handwriting that is neat and legible. Just because we are in a technology world these days doesn't mean that students don't need to learn how to write. Maybe someday handwriting will become completely obsolete, but for now its still here to stay.
